eXhilaration
eXhilaration
site name:
eXhilaration
type:
Experiences and vouchers
What I did:
This was the first e-Commerce site that I was involved with. I created the basket system and the entire checkout process for this Lastminute.com owned site. This was done mainly using Coldfusion session variables and the SQL Server 2000 database. This also has a "rewards" sister site that I created which runs of the same database.
Danilo
Danilo
site name:
Danilo
type:
Calendars, greeting cards and diaries
What I did:
This was a progression of the system used for eXhilaration. The basket code was refined and the checkout process was re written to suit the needs of adding multiple versions of the same product. This site also has the ability to customise products and offers giftwrapping with a discount code system as well.
Frosts Garden Centre
Frosts Garden Centre
site name:
Frosts Garden Centre
type:
Garden Centre
What I did:
This site for the well known garden centre uses version 2.0 of the content management system "SiteMachine" that I developed. Sitemachine is an incredibly powerful CMS suite that offers everything from banner management to page / section creation to WYSIWYG editors. A full admin system with over 50 features and functions to make running a site easy for the end user is incorporated. This award winning CMS has been in development for over 6 years and is currently in use in over 20 websites.
Jane Smith Financial
Jane Smith Financial
site name:
Jane Smith Financial
type:
Financial advise
What I did:
This was the first website that I did that was 100% designed and programmed by myself. The site is fairly small but is 100% database driven encorporating a "FriendlyURL" system to help with SEO. The site also uses CSS in its design and passes the W3C coimplaince test.
Champneys Collection
Champneys Collection
site name:
Champneys Collection
type:
Beauty and gift products
What I did:
This site for the well known health resort again uses the e-Commerce system but in its final version. It also has the discount system attached to it and offers giftwrapping. New to this version was the "Quick shop" and the "Repeat last order". Quick shop offers a much easier method of adding products to you basket, while the repeat last order function allowed returning users to login and auto populate their basket with their last purchase.
Total Access
Total Access
site name:
Total Access
type:
Safety equipment
What I did:
Total Access was the first site to use both the e-Commerce system and the CMS system SiteMachine. Both were fully integrated into each to create one incredible suite. New features include a scrolling news reel and a data link that brings over up to date information for every prouct on a nightly basis. This is powered by linked SQL servers.
Ros Gardner Associates
Ros Gardner Associates
site name:
Ros Gardner Associates
type:
Customer Care Excellence
What I did:
This site was the second that I designed and developed 100% on my own. Everything meets W3C standards and compliance and is designed using CSS. The drop down javascript menu that is used was made using the prototype Javascript Library is had proven extremely reliable when used for SEO purposes.
The Stables
The Stables
site name:
The Stables
type:
Music Venue
What I did:
This site uses the CMS system SiteMachine for its back and front end functions. What makes this site stand apart is its dynamic stylesheet which is dependant on colours chosen within the admin settings i.e. different sections / pages have different colours within their stylesheet. This was also one of the first sites that I worked on that had a FriendlyURL system worked into it. This makes URL's more readable for both the human and electronic eye.
Destination Milton Keynes
Destination Milton Keynes
site name:
Destination Milton Keynes
type:
Information on Milton Keynes
What I did:
This site runs off of a slightly modified version of SiteMachine as it uses a flash frontend. This is in turn content managable from the admin system. Custom news and events pages were also used with linked forms submitted to other sites.
